Currently Linky

I am linking up with Farley for the first Currently of 2013.
Happy New Year!

Listening:  I am listening to Phillip Phillips' new CD.  I picked him during the audition phase of American Idol.  We love the audition & Hollywood phase.  Then, we quit watching until near the end.  I love his voice.
Loving:  It was a crazy Christmas time for my mom this year.  So, she gave her 3 children mostly gift certificates.  Love it!  I have been to Texas Roadhouse and Olive Garden in just the past 3 days.  I don't think my scales are so appreciative.
Thinking:  It will be a miracle if I make it to work on time tomorrow considering how late I have slept over the break.  With 2 migraines in the past week, I have had to sleep those away also!
Wanting:  We have talked 5 years now about decorating our bedroom, but my husband swore when we painted to sell the last house, he would never paint again.  He has almost kept his word.  He did paint the guest bathroom a beautiful blue.  I am the only girl in the house most of the time.  I need a place to call my own - a place without video games and wrestling boys.  a restful and relaxing place.
Needing:  I have migraines and kidney stones.  I am on a preventative for migraines and over the holidays it has not helped.  I recently visited the hospital for migraine with panic attack.  In mid August, I had to have surgery from kidney stones.   I have been given a list of food to avoid by both my neurologist and my urologist!  If I follow their advice I can basically eat grass and should be really skinny!  What favorite foods should I avoid:  peanuts, chocolate, soda and sweet tea.  When I am trying to diet, what good foods do I need to avoid? - spinach, blueberries, bananas, raspberries, pineapple, etc.   The list is enormous!  :(
One Little Word:  I need to remember to pray continuously!

  1. I found you through the Currently link up! :) I am your newest follower! Have you tried My Fitness Pal to journal your food? I have had pretty good success on there. I had at one point lost 87lbs, but with the beginning of school and holidays I have gained some back but I am getting back to journaling tomorrow. I would highly recommend it! :) Have a happy new year!

  2. I'm sorry to hear that your break wasn't filled with just a whole bunch of relaxation. I suffer from terrible migranes so I know how they can knock you down for a day or even more. Best of luck with getting past them!

    Keep in touch!

  4. We have the same OLW! I need to remember to pray daily and my goal is to try and be in the bible more.

Good luck with your food journal. It seems to be an uphill battle for me, with ups and downs. Here's to a year of more downs on the scale and ups with healthy choices:)

    Happy New Year!

  7. Good to know that I will not be alone in the trek back to work tomorrow. I hope you are able to make a wonderful bedroom retreat for yourself. I understand the need for space, I am the only girl with 3 boys/man in my house.

  8. I hope the migraines will eventually ease up Tamera, it's so painful, I know. I take beta blockers to prevent mine and it has helped a lot. I will be thinking of you tomorrow and sending good back to school thoughts your way. I keep telling myself that even though we have to go back, we're that much closer to summer break. Happy New Year.

  9. What!? Avoid sweet tea, I would die! Sorry to hear that. Hopefully your doctors can figure something else out. Migraines are the absolute worst. I love your OLW {pray}. That's one thing you can never do enough of!

  12. Found you through Currently and I am a new follower :) Sorry to hear about your health issues...BOO! Hopefully, when you start to journal, you can determine the triggers for yourself and maybe they won't be exactly the ones on the list. I love sweet tea too. I grew up in the south and it was at every meal--restaurant or at home. I currently live in WA and it isn't on any menu except McDonalds.
